Abstract:
Many physicists at different times speculated about the nature of the inertia. For example, the Austrian physicist Ernst Mach suggested that the inertia is the reluctance of the mass to move in response to forces can be attributed to the joint attraction of all matter in the universe, and that the mass of the object is not something inherent only to him, but depends of the surrounding universe. We show in this paper that the material bodies of the universe have the inertial mass due to their interaction with the field of a gaseous dark matter. This mass is called of added body mass. This article assumes that the gaseous dark matter (dark gas) fills the universe. The baryonic bodies from the elementary particles to the stars and the planets are in the ocean of the gaseous dark matter and interact with it.
